The activity has a list of items. Put the items in the correct order.

Item 1: Ensure that there is ¼ to ½ of an inch of the pin above the specimen.
Item 2: Make sure the insect is balanced perpendicular to the pin from all transverse angles.
Item 3: Insects may be labeled below the pin.
Item 4: Once pinned, the insects should be posed with the wings gently placed.
Item 5: Run the insect pin through the thorax of the insect, slightly to the right of midline.
Item 6: The pinned insects may be placed for study and display.
Item 7: Put collected insects into the killing jar for at least 20 minutes.
